The Benjamin Banneker Development Corporation (BBDC) is a non-profit organization, established 25 years ago, to help improve the community through affordable housing initiatives in the District of Columbia. Since its inception, BBDC has assisted countless D.C. homeowners facing uncertain housing futures through a variety of programs and initiatives.

Today, we have established The Fighting Foreclosure Initiative, a meaningful, donation-based initiative to help individuals and families who are facing foreclosure by providing them the resources to keep their homes. Our aim is to provide a fully-funded program that would cover the legal fees necessary to help families fight foreclosure. In addition, The Fighting Foreclosure Initiative will spread educational materials throughout our DC neighborhoods so that everyone is aware of this injustice and we can all join the fight together through advocacy and awareness. BBDC is seeking individual donors and sponsors to help us launch this initiative in the District.
